Specifying What Will be Copied

  • Last UpdatedMar 18, 2022

The RCFCOPY command specifies which parts of the source Database (DB) are to be copied to the destination. Most commonly a whole DB is reconfigured, using the command option:

RCFCOPY ALL

The RCFCOPY ALL command copies all elements in the list part of the World element of the source DB into the World element of the destination DB. The World itself is not copied. Parts of a DB can be copied by using the RCFCOPY command followed by the name of the element at the top of the hierarchy to be copied. Only elements that can be owned by World, for example, Sites, can be specified. The list of elements specified by the RCFCOPY command becomes the copy list.

Note:
The administrator must use the RCFCOPY ALL command if they intend to use the RECONFIGURE SESSIONS command at the next step, as the SESSIONS option is not valid if the administrator only carry out partial reconfiguration.
