Administrators can create custom Operator Training Simulator (OTS) exercises by cloning predefined templates. The templates are based off an unscored or scored exercise.

Create a new custom OTS exercise

  1. Navigate to the custom OTS course's Custom OTS Exercises section.

See Access custom Operator Training Simulator exercises for more information.

  2. Select Add new exercise.

The Clone from temple dialog opens.

  3. In the Select template list, select one of the following templates:

    • Scored-Template

This template is for a scored exercise that runs a Scenario in AVEVA Dynamic Simulation and evaluates the Trainee performance by using Trainee Performance Monitoring (TPM). The TPM score is recorded in the Learning Management System (LMS) at the end of the activity.

    • Unscored-Template

This template is for an unscored exercise that calls a pre-defined Initial Condition (IC) in AVEVA Dynamic Simulation and runs the simulator for a specified duration. The Trainee is not assigned a score at the end of the activity.

  4. Select the Select button.

The template's Exercise Settings page opens.

You can now configure the custom OTS exercise.
