Historian tag naming and data mapping

The tag name in Historian is <Prefix>.<Historian Tag>. If Prefix is empty, it is the tag name only. If Historian Tag is blank, the project tag name is used.
The maximum length is 450 characters including the prefix and the period. A name that is empty or longer fails silently at the gateway.
Data types: Boolean is stored as Int1, Integer as Int4, Real as Double, and String as a double-byte string (up to 512 characters). Non-numeric Real values are sent as no data. IoT View does not save String tags.
Tags are created with the Forced storage type. Minimum and maximum (sent only when either is not zero), engineering unit and description come from the tag fields.
The quality of the runtime is sent unchanged. Timestamps are sent in the local time of the gateway computer.
When the History Format is Historian, only the tag that changed is saved. Dead Band applies when Save On Tag Change is used.
Do not rely on every sample being delivered. The gateway reports success to the runtime even if Historian rejects a sample.
