Python is a high-level, interpreted, and interactive object-oriented scripting language that allows you to implement logic and algorithms within your project.
Note: Python is not supported in any graphic scripts or viewers: local Viewer, Mobile Access, or web Thin Clients.
AVEVA Edge implements and hosts Python so you can take advantage of every feature provided by this language, such as:
-
Syntax, operators, functions, and libraries.
-
The ability to create new variables, classes, and procedures.
-
The ability to execute the Python scripts on any platform that supports Python, specifically Microsoft Windows and Linux.
This documentation provides an overview of the Python feature implementation. For a full description of the language, please consult https://www.python.org. See the Release Notes for the current version of Python.
