This part of the tutorial shows how to download your project to a Windows Embedded device, such as a plant-floor HMI panel.
After configuring a project and testing it locally (on the development station), you can download it to a remote station — either a Windows PC that is running AVEVA Edge or a Windows Embedded device that is running Embedded HMI.
-
On the desktop of the remote station, click Start > Studio Product Name plus Version > Studio Product Name plus Version Remote Agent.
The Remote Agent utility runs.

-
In the project development environment, click Connect on the Home tab of the ribbon.
The Remote Management dialog is displayed.

-
Select the type of connection to the target (remote) station.
This selection should match the selection you previously made in the Remote Agent utility on the remote station.
-
If you selected Host, type the host name or IP address of the remote station.
-
Disable Use TLS. This feature is not used for Windows Embedded target stations.
-
Click Connect.
If you successfully connect to the remote station, then information about that station is displayed in the Status and Platform boxes.
-
If the remote station is a Windows Embedded device, click Install runtime files.
The system files are installed on the remote station.
-
Click the Project tab.
-
Click Download.
The project files are downloaded to the remote station.
-
Click Run.
Your AVEVA Edge project is run on the remote station.
