In P&ID > Project administration > Plant and Marine Integration set the file location as shown below:
Note:
Schematic Model Manager and P&ID must be installed. A prerequisite for this to work
is to set the file location in both the P&ID and Schematic Model Manager applications.

In Schematic Model Manager navigate to Tools > User Options.

In the User Options window, set the file location for Data Import to the same as for P&ID.

Go to User Options > Import new available drawings automatically.
The option should be checked for the drawings to be imported automatically or the application will wait for the drawings to load at the default location defined, that is Data Import.

This user option will save data to UserOptions.xml and the tag <Importnewavailabledrawingsautomatically> available in the file should be set to <true>.
You must have read and write access for the Data Import location.
If this event driven setting is set to True, the Schematic Model Manager will wait for .trg files at the data import location to load automatically whenever a .trg file is available.

There are two ways to import the drawings in TTY mode, batch file or PML commands.
To launch Schematic Model Manager using PML commands do the following:
-
Open the command prompt and go to the installation location of Diagrams to run the bat file in TTY mode.
-
Run the command Diagrams.bat -tty
For example: C:\Program Files (x86)\AVEVA\Diagrams14.1.4>Diagrams.bat -tty

After executing Diagrams.bat -tty, AVEVA Diagrams Console is launched in TTY and you need to provide project details with credentials such as the example shown below.

For example:
|
proj APS (Project Name) |
|
user SYSTEM/XXXXXX (Project Credential) |
|
/ALL (MDB Name) |
|
SCHEMATICMODELMANAGER |
