Directional Components

Inline parts can be defined as directional components. This means that the shape will always be adjusted to the flow of the branch. When such a shape is inserted into the tube, the application will check if its orientation is corresponding to the main flow and automatically reverse the direction of the component if needed. Such shapes can be used for example, to represent non-returning valves.
To create a directional component the following actions are required:

draw the Visio shape which is going to represent the component and make sure its arrive and leave (first and second) connection points are aligned with the default flow which goes horizontally from left to right

import the shape as desired inline component and in Step 1 of the Import Shape Wizard tick the Directional component option.
