Effect of Layer Lock on Formatting Rules

A new diagrams option has been introduced to prevent the effect of formatting rules for a locked layer. It can be found under General options / System configuration / Prevent updating element for formatting rules for lock layer. By default the value of this option is set to False and this option is enabled for admin users only. For non-admin users, the option will be read-only. When the option is set to True it prevents the element that belongs to the locked layer from being updated during formatting rules.

Diagram elements can be arranged into layers by creating layers at Home / Editing Layer. These layers can be locked by setting the property at Home / Editing Layers / Layer Properties.

When we apply any formatting rule to elements belonging to locked layer, it will not take effect if the option is set to true. This option will also work this way for the batch formatting rule option also.
