You may update existing drawings by adding electrical connection symbols between cable/multi-cable and connected equipment/sub-equipment. To achieve this, you use the Batch Job functionality as shown below.

First you have to select the diagrams that should be updated, next click the Add electrical connections button. Each diagram will be opened and connections between the cable/multi-cable and the equipment/sub-equipment will be updated according to the below rules:

Connection Types

Description

To element border

The electrical connection will be attached to the item as in the below picture. The connection will be attached to a point where the geometries of the cable and equipment are in contact.

Connection Types

Description

To connection point inside item area

The electrical connection will be added to the group. If this is not possible, it will be attached to the connection point.

Note:
If the electrical connection box will be extended beyond its owner boundaries, then it will be attached to instead of added to the group.

Connection Types

Description

To connection point outside item area

The electrical connection will be attached to the connection point.

Connection Types

Description

Via nested symbol

The nested symbol will be replaced by an electrical connection shape.

After the update you can check the operation status by displaying the job log for any information, warnings and errors.
