Change UOM at Runtime

In order to change the units at run time, right-click the available context menu Component Properties.

This menu is visible only at element level.

The Component Properties menu is enabled and disabled depending on the option Show Display Units in Diagrams Options.

If the option Show Display Units is set to True, then the Component Properties menu is enabled.

If the option is set to False, the Component Properties menu is disabled.

To change the units at run time right-click the Component Properties. All the attributes that contain the dimensions of the selected element are displayed in the Attributes tab as displayed below.

The list of units for each attribute in the Component Properties window is displayed by setting the unit sets in Diagrams Options > Attribute Presentation Settings.

The following window displays the values before changing the units at run time.

Use the dropdown menu to change the units. The value will be changed according to the selected unit. The new values can be seen in the window below.

After changing the units, the values at runtime will be changed. Click the OK button, the values from the Component Properties window will be updated in the Shape Sheet window according to the precision values set in Diagrams options > Attribute Presentation Settings window.

The updates work both ways. Change the values in the Shape Sheet window, the changed values will be automatically updated to the Component Properties window. Or, update the values in the Component Properties window, click the OK button in the Shape Sheet window and the changed values will be updated.
