Setting System Reference

In some cases the user might want to override the System reference inherited from the pipeline for a particular valve or fitting. In this case, the Set System Reference command available on the shape right-click menu can be used. This will bring up a dialog where the system reference can be set or updated. This dialog can also be used for setting the system reference(s) for equipment items and cables.

One item can be a member of multiple systems. To add a reference to a System, click the button, which will bring up a dialog where the system hierarchy can be browsed and a system selected.

To remove a system reference, select it in the list and click the button.

In the list you can also see the system reference of the parent Pipeline / HVACline for applicable items as a greyed out system name at the top of the list. This is not shown for cables or equipment items, as there is no hierarchically superior element in the database that has a system reference.
