The following guide shows how to use the features of Schematic Model Manager, including core tools such as Status Control, to support the following P&ID development process:
A P&ID will typically go through several stages during its development. A simplified lifecycle is used for the purposes of this guide.
Typically, prior to reaching the first P&ID status, the following tasks will have already been carried out.

Major equipment items at relevant positions on drawings

Equipment numbers align with Process Flow Diagrams

The layout of each P&ID is a representation of the process flow.
At this point the P&ID will be issued for review and comment.
