Prompting the User to Enter a Name

By using the Attribute Presentation settings (refer to Attribute Presentation), it is possible to make the application prompt the user for attribute values as a shape is being dropped on the drawing. In case the NAME attribute is used for prompting, a special functionality is invoked. In case an element with the same name already exists in the DB, the user will be presented with a dialog where it is possible to re-enter the name, create a Secondary shape (Creating Secondary Shapes by Copy/Paste), if this is enabled, or to create the new item anyway, but with a blank name.
