Propagating Attributes in Area Shape

You can propagate certain attributes of Area Shape into containing shapes. This is achieved by selecting check boxes in the Propagate column under Area Shape Data in the attribute presentation window as shown below:

Note:
All the attributes of Area Shape cannot be propagated since some attributes are shape dependent attributes. For example: ACTTYPE, DIAGXP, DIAGYP . Also, the propagate setting in the Attribute Presentation window could be overridden in the Import shape window while importing an Area Shape. See below.

In order to identify the attributes whether they are set for propagation or not, you can specify a prefix for Propagate or No propagate attributes. The prefixes can be set in Diagrams Options for Area shape:

These prefixes are reflected only in Shape Data of Area shape:
