Setting the Initial 3D Position

The initial 3D position can be set by using the dialog available through the View > Initial 3D Position command.

Note:
The Initial 3D Position command is only enabled when a database containing a ship coordinate system is available in the current MDB.

The initial 3D position can also be set as XYZ coordinates by directly updating the POS attribute. In case the position should be presented to the user using the ship coordinate system format, the SHIPX, SHIPY and SHIPZ pseudo attributes can be used. Refer to the documentation for referenced attributes in Attribute Presentation for further information on how to access pseudo attributes.
