In P&ID > Project administration > Plant and Marine Integration set the file location as shown below:
Note:
A prerequisite for this to work is to set the file location in both the P&ID and Schematic
Model Manager applications.

Navigate to Tools > User Options.

In the User Options window set the file location for Data Import to the same as for P&ID.

Once the file location is set in both applications, navigate to P&ID and click the Save Work button. Choose Save Work, for individual files, or Save Work Batch, for batch mode.

Diagrams is saved to the saved location.

Schematic Model Manager then searches for the saved diagrams and automatically imports them.

Go to User Options > Do not display import progress form for automatic loads. If the option is not checked the Import Progress window is displayed during the automatic import of diagrams and user action is required to close the progress window and a message is displayed in the status bar if Save Work completed successfully.

By default, this option is False, that is in an unchecked state.

If the option is checked, True, the Import Progress window is not displayed during the automatic import of diagrams and a message is displayed in the status bar with the location of the log file. A log of the import progress is created in a temporary location with the status of the imported diagrams.

Automatic Import of diagrams is done in three different ways:
-
During the application launch
-
On Get Work
-
On event driven
The option Import new available drawings automatically in the User Options window is by default set to False.

If this option is unchecked the automatic import of diagrams is not completed on event driven even if the diagrams are available to import.
If the option is checked the automatic import of diagrams will happen on event driven just like on a new diagrams creation.
