Re-creating Database Data

  • Last UpdatedNov 28, 2022

After a drawing has upgraded, it is possible to use the Define and Define Branch commands to re-create database data. Before the define operation can be successfully performed, base data such as the Schematic Groups, System Structure, Specification and Catalogue Items . will have to be created. Also relevant default settings will have to be set up properly, for instance Default Groups.

In many cases further data will have to be added manually to the shapes before they can be defined correctly. This is for example:

  • References (to specification)

  • GTYPEs

When the shapes have been defined, the Consistency Check function (please refer to Consistency Check) can be used to check that the diagram is consistent with the database data.
