Use the Expression Editor

The Expression Editor functions like a calculator, except that results are not calculated immediately. Instead, expressions are evaluated and results are returned whenever the application needs them.

You construct expressions using the formatting commands, numeric keypad, operators, delimiters, tags, and functions. You can enter expressions using the mouse or the computer keyboard.
