Configure the AVEVA Batch Management View application

Before using the AVEVA Batch Management 2023 R2 with InTouch OMI View Application, you must configure the AVEVA Batch Management View application.
To configure the AVEVA Batch Management View application

Open the System Platform IDE.

Click the Galaxy menu and then click Import > Object(s). The Import Objects dialog box appears.

Browse to the path where BatchManagementApp.aaPKG is located.

Click OK. After import, the BatchManagementApp is added to the Galaxy.

Move the object under _Default Content > Apps > OMI Apps.

Create a new Screen Profile by right-clicking the Graphics in Visualization Toolbox, and then clicking New > Screen Profile. A screen profile, ScreenProfile_001, is added to the Galaxy.

Next, create a new Layout by right-clicking the Graphic in Visualization Toolbox, and then clicking New > Layout. A new Layout, Layout_001, is added to the Galaxy.

Open Layout_001. Using the Layout, you can design the view of the runtime time application. The view is set by creating panes and adding the controls into them. When you open the layout, the following screen appears.

On the Pane1, right -click and add a pane to the left.

A new pane, Pane2, is created.

Click the Add (+) icon on the top. A Pane3 is created as shown below.

Now, you can add controls into these panes. Go to the right side of the layout and click Toolbox.

Click BatchManagementApp under _Default Content > Apps > OMI Apps, and then drag the BMExecutionWebControl control in Pane1.

Select NavTree control from the Toolbox and drag it to Pane2.

Select TitleBarApp control and move it to Pane3.

After you add all controls, the layout appears as shown below. This is a simple layout. You can customize the layouts according to your Runtime application.

Select Pane1 and click the Properties tab. A list of all properties that are available from BMExecutionWebControl is displayed. These properties are like Simple Kevin URL variables.

In the Content Properties, do the following:

Specify the AVEVA Batch Management Server name in the Host box.

In the UnitName field, click the drop-down list, and then select In. In the UnitName text box, type "MyViewApp.Navigation.CurrentAsset", so that the input for unit name will come from the navigation tree selection.

Leave the remaining Properties selected as by default.

Save and close the Layout_001.
Configuring the Operating System Security

Go to the Security menu in System Platform IDE.

In the Configure Security dialog box, select the OS User based option.

Click the Users tab and click the Add icon to add the user login, and click the associated Roles for the added user as Administrator.

Click OK. The System Platform IDE will close and reopen.

Enter the valid credentials.

Select ViewApp in the Galaxy and create a new derived template ViewApp_001.

Double-click to open the ViewApp_001.

Select the screen from Select Screen Profile, and then click Next. The Associate Layout dialog box appears.

Select the layout from Associate Layout, and then click Finish.

Select Assets and select the Properties tab. Specify a title such as AVEVA Batch Management Execution. Select all the units that were imported from the AVEVA Batch Management Server and placed at Area_001.

Set the title to AVEVA Batch Management Execution and select reference up to Area tab.

Save and close the ViewApp_001.

Right-click and create a view instance ViewApp_001_001. A new ViewApp_001_001 is added into the Unassigned area in the Model.

Rename the instance to BATCHMANAGEMENTAPP_001. You can customize the name as you want.

Create the model hierarchy as shown below. Create new instance of AppEngine, ViewEngine, and Area. Place all the AVEVA Batch Management Server units in Area_001, place AppEngine_001 and ViewEngine_001 under PlantArea.

Move BATCHMANAGEMENTAPP_001 under ViewEngine_001.

Right-click the Galaxy and then click Deploy.
