AVEVA™ Batch Management

Localization and Regional Settings

AVEVA Batch Management is designed to facilitate localization. The default language of AVEVA Batch Management is US-English.

There are three different repositories for localization in AVEVA Batch Management:

  • BatchServer: The Batch Server localization resource files are installed as part of the AVEVA Batch Management Server component.

  • Admin Web: The Admin Web or History Server localization files are installed as part of the AVEVA Batch Management History Server component.

  • Report Web: The Report Web localization files are installed as part of the AVEVA Batch Management Reporting Content component.

After AVEVA Batch Management installation or upgrade, all the localization resource files (.csv) are copied to the following folder by default:

<installed folder>\AVEVA\Batch Management\messages

A backup of the .CSV files is copied to this folder:

<installed folder>\AVEVA\Batch Management\messages\english

Even though CSV files are saved as UTF-8, localization support is only provided for single-byte languages. In some cases, you may have to change your system’s code page to support a specific single-byte language (for example, Cyrillic).

To support localization for double-byte languages, it is recommended to use the UTF-8 BOM encoding format to save the CSV files.
