User-defined data types

A User-Defined Data Type (UDT) is a hierarchical data structure that consists of individual user-defined members. Each member can have its own data type as Integer, Boolean, string, other common data type, or another UDT.

UDTs can reduce engineering effort by providing an option to create multi-level nested structures. For example, you can create a reactor UDT in InTouch, instead of creating a set of individual tags representing that reactor.
