Top Header Options

You can use the Top Header area to edit pen details in runtime. You can also:

• Expand and collapse Top Header in runtime

• Hide and show individual pens

• Add a pen

• Delete a pen

  

Expand and collapse Top Header in runtime

When there more number of pens, it will be difficult to read and analyze the trends as the trend chart area will be less. The expand and collapse Top Header option allows you to collapse the Top Header and increase the chart area so that you can easily analyze the trends. Additionally, you can expand the Top Header to view the pen configuration when required.

Collapse the Top Header

1. In runtime, select the up arrow present at the top-left corner.

   The Top Header will get collapsed.

   

Expand the Top Header

2. In runtime, select the down arrow present at the top-left corner.

   The Top Header will get expanded.

   

Editing pen details in runtime

3. Double-click on the field to edit it.

4. Update the value.

5. Click outside the row to save the new value.

Hiding and showing individual pens

6. Right-click on a row.

7. Select Hide from the context sensitive menu.

   The pen is hidden from the top header area and the pen is not rendered in the trend area.

8. To show a pen, right-click in the top header area.

9. From the context sensitive menu, select Show and then select the pen name.

   The pen will be displayed in the top header and trend area.

Adding a pen

10. Right-click in the top header area, and select Add.

    A new row is included in the top header area.

11. Provide pen details including name and reference.

12. Press Enter.

    The trend area will start rendering the pen, if data is available.

Deleting a pen

• Right-click in the top header area, and select Delete. Alternatively you can press the delete key.

  The pen is deleted from the multi pens trend control.

Sorting the top header area

13. Click on the heading name in the heading row to sort pen details.

    For the following heading names the top header will be sorted in ascending and descending order: Pen Name, Reference, EU.

    All other heading names will be sorted from smallest to largest.

    All headings except Color can be used for sorting the top header area.

14. Click the heading name again to change the directionality of the sort.

15. Click on the heading name a third time to return to the original state pre sorting.
