Use the pidiag utility to compare a signature file to another signature file.

At a command prompt, go to the PI\adm directory.

Type the following command:
This command compares signatures. When you provide only one signature file, the command compares the information stored in the file with the configuration of the local computer. When you provide a second signature file, the command compares the two signature files.
Examples
This example shows the result when two signatures match.
D:\PI\adm>pidiag -host -compare D:\vmtest-xp2.msf
Percent Match: 100
This example shows a result when two signatures do not match.
D:\PI\adm>pidiag -host -compare D:\vmtest-xp4.msf

Percent Match: 0
