PI AuditViewer

PI AuditViewer is a utility that enables you to search for and view audit records in the PI Audit database. Audit data is organized into hierarchical audit records that contain all information relevant to changes made to Data Archive data:

• Edits and deletions of time-series data, such as those made to values in the archive files.

• Creations, deletions, and edits to configuration information of time-series data. Examples include PI point configuration data and access permissions for secure objects.

PI AuditViewer is an essential tool for analyzing and validating an AVEVA™ PI System™ for compliance with an implementation of cGMP. It facilitates the generation of selected reports in Windows file formats, to comply with FDA audit requests. Audit records are computer-generated and time-stamped and cannot be altered.

Use PI AuditViewer to search for Audit Database records from a specific time period. You can filter the audit records that you retrieve using criteria such as the type of change and the Data Archive database that was affected by the change. You can select, view, print or export records to a file.

PI AuditViewer satisfies the U.S.C. 21 CFR, Part 11 FDA regulatory requirements for generating accurate and complete copies of audit records in both human-readable and electronic form suitable for inspection, review, and copy.
