The PI Audit Database contains records of changes made to Data Archive data. The following changes are recorded:

Editing and deleting time-series data, such as values in the archive files.

Creating, deleting, and editing configuration information on time-series data. Examples include PI point configuration data and access permissions for secure objects.
Note: Normal operations, such as interfaces adding data, are not audited.
The PI Audit Database consists of three distinct files. Each file represents a PI subsystem:

Base subsystem: pibasessAudit.dat

Archive subsystem: piarchssAudit.dat

Snapshot subsystem: pisnapssAudit.dat
All files for the online PI Audit Database are stored in the PI\log directory.
