The initialization file is called pisql.ini and can be found in the PI\dat directory of your Data Archive installation. The file contains defaults for all settings. You may change the settings by editing the file.

The initialization file settings are read when a new statement is allocated. Any change to this file is reflected in the next new statement.

Note: On a PI System for OpenVMS, the initialization file is PISysDat:pisql.ini. The interpretation of the file settings is the same.
