Point source table (PIPTSRC)

The point source table (PIPTSRC) provides a view into the PI point database. It provides an option to add a description to every point source and to view how many points are in each point source. Use the piconfig utility or PI SMT to view the point source table. The only attribute that can be edited is the description.

The point source database is actually a view into the point source index of the point database. It provides the ability to add a descriptor for each point source and to quickly view the number of points per point source.
