Subsecond timestamps

  • Last UpdatedJan 13, 2023

You can put events with subsecond timestamps in the snapshot and data archive using piconfig. The Time attribute has the format

DD-MMM-YY hh:mm:ss.sssss

The Timenum attribute is the equivalent floating point representation of the time in number of seconds past January 1, 1970 00:00:00.0000. The archive preserves the timestamp with accuracy of 15.25 microseconds.

The default time accuracy of five digits might compromise a subsecond timestamp. Use the sigd command to change the display to show six or seven digits before editing or deleting such events.
