Monitor the flow of events to PI Archive Subsystem

You can use the piartool utility to monitor PI Archive Subsystem.

  1. At a command prompt, go to the PI\adm directory.

  2. Type the following command:

    piartool -as

    Command output lists PI Archive Subsystem internal counters every five seconds.

    $ piartool -as

    Note: For information about the possible values of Archiving Flag, see Output from piartool -as.

  3. Review the output. Note the difference in the count in the column on the right since the previous five seconds. The counters are reset to zero when PI Archive Subsystem starts.

  4. Press Ctrl+C to stop piartool output.
