Diagnose Data Archive issues with pidiag

Use the pidiag utility to diagnose, retrieve information about, and perform simple repairs of, AVEVA™ PI System™.

Note: Never use open files with tools that perform operations on files, such as compact and repair options. In general, use such tools only when the system is in an inactive state. If you are unsure about how to use these tools, consult Technical Support using the Customer Portal before using them. Make a backup copy of the data file before you attempt any operations.

Run the pidiag utility from the ..\PI\adm directory.

To invoke pidiag, type:

pidiag -xxx

where xxx identifies a command line option. Depending on the specific option, you might include additional arguments.
