Data Archive requires a PI license file to run. The license file may be machine specific, which means it can be used only on a particular computer. PI License Manager determines whether a machine-specific license file can be used on a computer based on hardware, network, and operating system information. The signature of a machine contains this information. You can use several pidiag commands to gather and check machine signatures.
