The PI point database contains the list of points that are recorded in the Data Archive server.
The point database stores configuration information for each point as a list of point attributes. For a complete explanation of the PI point classes and point attributes, see the Data Archive system management topic, PI points.
The point database is coupled with the Archive Table (PIARC) and the Snapshot table (PISNAP and PISNAP2). The PI point database table name is PIPOINT. The primary key is TAG.
