ShortCuts panel

The ShortCuts panel displays on the left:

To conserve space, click the Pin button to hide the ShortCuts panel. View by clicking the ShortCuts tab on the left. Click to restore the ShortCuts panel.

You can close the ShortCuts panel by clicking the Close button . Restore by clicking the ShortCuts tab at the top.

Search Panel

The Search panel provides the primary interface for searching the PI Audit Database.

The Start Time and End Time fields define the time range for which AuditViewer retrieves Audit Database records. The Start Time and End Time can be specified using any PI SDK-supported time format.

Manage Panel

Use the Manage panel to select the audit archives to include in a search:

Options Panel

Use the Options panel to set defaults for PI AuditViewer.

Description

Enable Row Filtering

Enables xPI Audit record filters by row.

Enable Column Pinning

Enables column Customize the audit record display.

Save Settings on Exit

Saves the following when you exit:

  • Settings in the Options panel

  • Columns that appear in the Results grid

  • Information on Audit Archives

Show Messages

Shows or hides the Messages pane. Messages are still logged to the message panel when hidden.

Message History

Specifies the number of messages that are stored in the Messages pane.

Customize Panel

The Customize panel displays all of the available columns for the Results grid. To hide a column, clear the corresponding the check box.
