Customize the audit record display

You can customize the display of PI audit database records.

  • You can filter audit records, sub-records, and detail records by the data in one or more columns in the Results grid. Click the Filter icon in the column header and select a value from the list.

    The following example shows audit records that have been filtered to show only audit records from the PI Database PIGroups. The Filter icon for the PI Database column appears as to indicate that audit records are filtered by data in that column.

    To specify more than one filtering condition for a column, select (Custom) from the list and enter multiple filter conditions for a column in the filter criteria dialog box.

    Note: Filter controls appear solely when filtering is enabled in the Options panel.

  • To keep a column visible when you scroll horizontally, click the Pin button in that column. To release the column, click .

    Note: Pin controls appear solely when column pinning is enabled in the Options panel.

  • Drag and drop the column header to a desired new location to change the position of a data column within the Results grid. A red arrow appears over valid drop sites when the header is dragged into position.

  • In the Results grid, click on the column header to sort column record data. An arrow indicating the direction of the sort will appear in the column header.

  • To show/hide columns, click View > Grid, and select a command from the menu as follows:
