Structure of PI Audit database records

  • Last UpdatedOct 04, 2024

An audit record viewed in PI AuditViewer may contain up to three levels. The top level contains fields that are common to most PI Audit database records. These fields appear as columns in the Results grid.

An Audit Database record contains sub-records when a change action can be associated with a collection that is subordinate to the main database. For example, when you add a PI property to a PIModule, the action is recorded as an Edit to the PIModules database at the top level and an Add to the PIProperties database in a sub-record.

Audit Database records and sub-records contain detail records with the specific changes that occurred.
