Verify the proper sizing and functioning of the event queue, after you install or upgrade Data Archive, or back up the server after significant changes. Use the command piartool -qs to look at internal counters and statistics about the queue activity. For example, you can determine if, and how fast, events are flowing through the queue.

  1. At a command prompt, go to the PI\adm directory.

  2. Type the following command:

    piartool -qs

This lists the event-queue statistics every 5 seconds.

  3. Review the output.

  4. Press CTRL+C to stop output from the piartool -qs command.
