Equipment mapping enhancements

For classification accuracy and to reduce manual work, the export framework includes predefined mappings between Equipment Types and DEXPI Component Classes. When a symbol is selected, the system automatically suggests an appropriate class.

Procedure

Automatic component class mapping

1. Select or update a Symbol Name in the Symbol Mapping column. This column stores the symbol component master name from the Visio element.

   The system searches the predefined mapping and updates the Component Class Name.

   

   Note:
   You can manually override Component Class when needed. Manual selections take precedence over automatic mappings.
   If you enter a Symbol Name that is not in the predefined mapping, the application displays a validation message. You must select a valid Component Class or DEXPI Class to continue.
   The system always writes the assigned Component Class URI into the final XML and ensures the output remains fully compliant with the selected DEXPI schema version.
