Memory usage reporting gives you real-time visibility into how much memory a drawing uses when you open it. This information helps you monitor current memory consumption and the remaining available memory so you can save your work and avoid potential data loss from memory exhaustion.
You can open the Messages log in two ways. For more information, refer to Status Bar.
Note: Diagrams is a 32-bit application and has a maximum memory limit of 2 GB.
When you open a drawing, the application calculates the memory it uses and displays both the memory consumed and the remaining available memory (up to the 2 GB limit).
These values appear in the Messages log during drawing initialization.

When memory usage exceeds by 1.5 GB, a critical Warning message appears in the Messages log. When usage exceeds 1.8 GB, an Error message is displayed.

Note: Save your work immediately when the warning message appears to prevent data loss.
