Install Office 365 and Visio 2024 (32-bit)

Use this procedure to install Office 365 and Visio 2024 (32-bit) by deploying the Microsoft Office Deployment Tool with a predefined configuration file. The steps guide you through downloading the tool, running the deployment command, completing the installation, and activating Visio.
Procedure

Download the Office Deployment Tool from Microsoft.

Locate the downloaded file: officedeploymenttool_12827-20268.exe.

Run the executable to extract the deployment tool files.

Confirm that the configuration file sets OfficeClientEdition=32 for installing Visio 2024.

Open Command Prompt.

Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.

Run the deployment command:
setup.exe /configure configuration-Office365-64.xml

Start the download and installation of Office 365 and Visio 2024 (32-bit).

Verify the installation in Control Panel > Programs and Features.

Activate Visio using a valid license key.

Guidelines for .Net users
Generate SVG and EIWM XML files
To generate SVG and EIWM XML files in the Diagrams application, install AVEVA™ NET Gateway for IE&D version 1.6.1 or later.
For detailed instructions, refer to the help guide included with the AVEVA NET Gateway for IE&D installer (version 1.6.1).
Note: Starting with version 1.5 of AVEVA Gateway for IE&D, no additional license is required.
AVEVA Licensing as a Service (LaaS)
Diagrams 14.3 supports the AVEVA LaaS commercial model.
The Diagrams status bar displays a licensing icon. Select the icon to open the AVEVA CONNECTConnect login form. The icon changes appearance after a successful sign-in.
If you do not have an AVEVA Connect account or LaaS entitlement, contact your account manager.
Auth0 administration requirements
To access AVEVA Diagrams from a UE cloud environment using the Auth0 validation method, add the following environment settings to the deployment architecture:
AVEVA_CONNECT_AUTHORITY_URL: https://signin.connect.aveva.com (, https://signin.connect.aveva.com)
AVEVA_LICENSE_SERVER_LIST: https://license.connect.aveva.com
Production settings for LaaS in cloud deployments
During installation of any AVEVA product, the installer prompts for the license server location.

Enter: https://license.connect.aveva.com

After installation, verify that the AVEVA_LICENSE_SERVER_LIST environment variable is set to the same value.

Update an existing installation

For an existing installation, update the AVEVA_LICENSE_SERVER_LIST environment variable to: https://license.connect.aveva.com

Depending on the product, update this value in one of the following locations:

In the script used to launch the application (for example, a batch file)

In the computer's environment variables (user or system level)
