Alarm latching uses three attributes on the alarm extension primitive, and one attribute on the engine primitive. These attributes are always present, and become active when latching is enabled.

The alarm extension attributes used for latching are:

  • Latched: indicates whether the alarm is in the latched state

  • DismissMsg: User-writeable attribute to dismiss a latched alarm

  • TimeAlarmDismissed: the time the alarm is dismissed

The engine attribute used for latching is:

  • AlarmLatchEnabled: indicates whether the galaxy-wide setting is turned on for alarm latching

For information about using latching at run time, see Dismiss a latched alarms .
