You can use the Change Network Account utility to create a new user account for System Platform communication. If you select Cancel before saving your new user account, your current user account remains in effect.

The Change Network Account utility reboots the computer after creating a new user account. You should close all open applications on the computer before creating a new user account.

To create a local user account on your computer

  1. Select the Create Local Account check box. The Domain/Local Machine Name box becomes unavailable.

  2. In the User Name and Password boxes, type the new user name and password.

Note: You can paste into the Password and Confirm Password fields but, for security reasons, you cannot copy from them to the clipboard.

  3. In the Confirm Password box, retype the same password.

  4. Select OK to create the new local user account.

A confirmation dialog box appears and you are prompted to restart your computer. This is a requirement. Close all open applications, if necessary.

  5. Select OK to reboot the computer.
