Find objects

You can use the Find dialog box to search for an object in your Galaxy application.

To find an object

  1. On the Edit menu, select Find Object to open the Find dialog.

  2. Enable the Search by Name checkbox to search by name. You can disable name search if you want, for example, to search for all objects that are quarantined or offscan.

  3. With Search by Name enabled, select the Find What field and enter the text you want to find.

    • Under Which name, select either Tagname or Hierarchical name.

    • In the Search Criteria field, select a search option (Contains, Exact match, Start with or Ends with).

  4. In the Search Scope area, select a Platform and Engine.

  5. To limit the search scope, you can select either or both of the following options:

    • Only objects that are quarantined

    • Only objects that are offscan.

  6. Select the Find button.
