If security is enabled from the IDE, the user is logged in (either manually or automatically) when you open the Platform Manager.
If security is disabled in the IDE, selecting Change User results in no action. The command is ignored.
To log on as a new user

Select the Galaxy node.

On the Action menu, select Change User. A log-on dialog box appears.

Provide the requested log-on data and select OK. The new user is now logged on with only those permissions specific to that user.
