Define a trigger action

In the Trigger Action window, define the actions you want to occur when a data limit for a tag is violated.

  1. After you have entered a data limit in the Data Validation tab of the Tour Configuration window, click .

  2. In the Trigger Action Specification window, define your set of actions for a validation limit:

    • Override Tour Limit Violation Action. If you select this action, click either Accept Value or Reject Value.

    • Require Signature on device

    • Require Comment

    • Prompt Message. If you select this action, enter the text you wish to appear on the data entry screen of the device the operator is using.

  3. To define a work request, click the Work Request tab.

  4. Select the Generate Work Request check box.

  5. In the Work Request Name field, enter a name for the work request.

  6. In the Type field, enter a work request category.

  7. In the Description field, enter work request instructions.

  8. Click OK.

    If you specified a work request, it is added to the Work Request queue for later review.
