SQL Server Express installation and configuration

System requirements

You should download and install the latest service packs for your Windows operating system before you install SQL Server Express.

You can download SQL Server Express from the Microsoft Web site. In addition, OSIsoft recommends that you download Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express, which provides a graphical interface to manage basic database administration tasks.
