After you have selected tags for the tour, define conditional data collection scheduling. Refer to the next topics for more information on recurrence patterns. Note that Conditional Manual Data Entry (CMDE) scheduling overrides all collection scheduling, but can be set up in CMDE to defer to clock scheduling.
-
In the Select a Tour window, double-click a tour in the Tour List pane.
The Tour Configuration window for that tour opens.
-
Schedule data collection for the selected tag, the selected tag's tag group, or the entire tour.
-
For a Tag: On the Tag Configuration tab, click Set beside the Collection Scheduling field.
-
For a Tag Group: On the Tag Group Configuration tab, click Set beside the Collection Scheduling field.
-
For a Tour: In the Tour Info pane, click Set beside the Tour Scheduling field.
In a typical data collection process, you may have some tags for which data is collected every hour, and other tags that are only collected once a shift or once a day. You can set up a single tour with many points that have different collection frequency attributes.
-
-
In the Data Collection Scheduling window, choose Clock Scheduling. Select No Scheduling to remove the previous clock scheduling.
-
If you have selected Clock Scheduling, click Set.
-
In the Recurrence Clock Scheduling window, set the recurrence pattern for the selected tag, the tag group, or the entire tour.
You can set the recurrence pattern using one of five time spans: hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.
-
After you set the recurrence pattern, click OK to close the Recurrence Clock Scheduling window.
In the Data Collection Scheduling window, the Parsed Spec section shows the user-defined recurrence clock scheduling information in machine-readable text format.
The Descriptions section shows a brief description of the specified recurrence clock scheduling.
-
-
Click OK.
The Scheduling box displays a description of the schedule you set up.
