Select tags to include in a tour

Select tags you want to include in the current tour. A tag can only be included once in a tour, but the same tag can be used in another tour.

Note: PI Manual Logger supports the following Point Types: Float16, Float32, Float64, Int16, Int32, Digital, and String. Timestamp is also supported, but it cannot be trended.

1. In the central pane of the Tour Configuration window, select the Tag Configuration tab.

2. Click or click Add by the Tag Name field.

3. In the Tag Search window, execute a search.

   For more information on how to use the Tag Search window, click Help.

   Note: Only the user sending tour run data to PI Data Archive must have data write access to the tag. Data entry users only need read access. For details, see User database management.

4. Use standard Windows selection methods to select one or more tags.

   • Ctrl + Click: Select multiple individual tags

   • Shift + Click: Select a consecutive group of tags

5. Click OK.
