Install PIML Mobile on Windows Mobile 6

If you are using a non-volatile memory card, be sure you understand the information about these cards, as described in Non-volatile memory cards.

Follow these instructions to install PIML Mobile on a Windows Mobile 6 device.

Note: If you see a message during installation indicating that the publisher cannot be verified, ignore the message. Click OK and complete the installation.

1. Start the PI Manual Logger Mobile setup kit.

2. In the Mobile Device Type Selection window, select Windows Mobile 6.x and click Next.

3. Click Next again to start the installation.

4. At the Choose a location to install "OSIsoft PI Manual Logger Mobile" prompt, select:

   • Device to install in the default location on the device (\Program Files\pipc\PimlMobile).

   • \Storage Card to install on a non-volatile memory card.

5. Tap Install on the device.

   Note: Be sure you make your selection and tap Install before you click OK in the installation message on the PC. Otherwise PI Manual Logger Mobile might not be installed on the device even though installation appears to proceed normally.

6. When the installation is complete, your device displays a message similar to the following:

   OSIsoft PI Manual Logger Mobile.CAB was successfully installed on your device.

7. Tap OK on the device.

8. Click Finish in the installation window on the PC desktop.
