Prepare the PI Manual Logger Web Application Server

PI Manual Logger Windows 2014 must be installed and the PI Manual Logger Windows database configured before you run the PI Manual Logger Web installation.
Set up the PI Manual Logger Web Application Server computer to connect to the PI Manual Logger database by downloading the installation kit and enabling Windows Server Manager roles and features. For more information, refer to Microsoft documentation.

Install Roles and Features from the Microsoft Server Manager application.

Install the Web Server (IIS).

Install the following roles:

Note: If Windows Authentication is not displayed in the Role Services list, your Windows edition may need to be upgraded to Pro or Enterprise to use Windows Authentication within IIS.

Select Features from the Microsoft Server Manager application.

In the Features Summary pane, click Add Features and select the .NET Framework 4.5 Features (or the .NET Framework 4.6 or .NET Framework 4.7 Features on newer systems) and .NET Framework 4.5/4.6 check boxes in the Add Features Wizard.

Click Next and then Install to complete the wizard.

From the OSIsoft Download Center, download the PI Manual Logger Web installation kit.

Verify the PI Manual Logger Application Server computer can connect to the PI Manual Logger database.
