Description
Reload User Database
Determines whether the PI Manual Logger user database on the device is reloaded. This database contains the PI Manual Logger group and user permissions.
Update cached PI tag values before transferring
Determines whether the latest PI point archive values are updated before they are transferred to the mobile device.
Number of tour runs per tour to retain on the device after transfer
Specifies the number of tour runs per tour to retain on the device after the transfer. This enables you to re-open the tour run and review or edit tag data.
Due to memory constraints on mobile devices, OSIsoft recommends that if you do choose to retain tour runs on the device, retain only 1.
Note: Remember that if the value you select is less than the number of incomplete tour runs when Import only completed tour runs is selected on the Receive Options tab, all incomplete tour runs remain on the device.
-
Select the General Options tab and specify general data transfer settings.

Description
Temporary folder on PC or Server for device data transfer
PI Manual Logger uses a temporary transfer folder when the pimlmobile.sdf mobile database file is sent to and from the mobile device. The default path is My Documents\PimlMobileData.
Either enter the full folder path, or click
and locate the temporary folder you want to use in the Browse For Folder window. You can also click
and create a new folder.
The folder must be writeable by all PI Manual Logger Mobile users. The folder is created if it does not exist when the transfer occurs.
Attempt to compact the device database during transfer
Determines if the mobile database file should be compacted before it is transferred to the mobile device. A mobile database can only be compacted if SQL Compact Replication components are installed. If replication components are not installed, clear this check box.
-
Click OK to save changes to the device data transfer options.
After you have made these changes to the PI Manual Logger database, you need to transfer them to the mobile device.
